Eleazar was a musical child prodigy who began teaching at the age of 13. He and his wife Rebeca have concertized all of two continents, but he is best known in South America. Conservatory trained, Eleazar has earned master's degrees in Piano Performance, Christian Ministry, and Music Composition. While teaching and completing his third master's degree at the prestigious Boston University, his graduate students encouraged and financially contributed to the production of his CD piano recording, Tesora Musical Venezolano, which highlights musical treasures from his native Venezuela. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian.
Eleazar began teaching at The Music Place in 1997 and is pictured with one of his three grown children, Lis, who is a singer and is training to teach Early Music Awareness at The Music Place.
Eleazar enjoys reading and teaching in many styles of music, including classical and free improvisation. He is a versatile, multi-instrumented Phase 2-3 teacher, and specializes in drawing out the best in his students in a challenging, but fun and creative way.
